Self Control

I'm a self confessed shopaholic. My biggest weaknesses would have to be stationery items and kids books and toys. Followed closely by children's clothing. I'm not so big on shopping for clothing and accessories for myself. I don't mind it if I'm in the right mood. But I wouldn't say I "over shop" when it comes to these things.

Yesterday I discovered a whole NEW obsession when it comes to shopping. Gardening shops!!!!! Here we just have a small gardening section as part of our local hardware store. Since I wanted some seedlings I haven't been able to get locally (in either seedling OR seed form) I visited a gardening store while we were away.

As I walked in, I could feel my pulse quickening. The sights and sounds and smells were all calling to me. Begging me to walk out with a truckload of stuff.

Fortunately for my hip pocket, I had left DH in the car with the kids. So I only had 2 hands and around 3 minutes to find what I needed and get out of there.

It took some doing, that's for sure!!!!

But, I was victorious and walked out with 2 punnets of seedlings, exactly as planned. Go me!!! :)

Now, the garden is supposed to HELP with our budget, not drain it.

I can see that is going to take quite a bit of self control! :)
