Wet! Wet! Wet!

Well, the Autumn rains might have taken their time to get here but now they've arrived, they don't seem to be stopping.

Everything is WET!!!

REALLY wet! (well, really wet for around here anyway).

We had over 2 inches last week and it's still raining (well, more drizzling now).

Farmboy even got his ute bogged out in the paddock today (*insert giggle here*).

So, not much gardening happening.  Not much seeding happening on the farm either.

But the garden seems to be growing well and the soil should be plenty wet enough!

When it fines up, I'll have to take some progress shots.

The broccoli that I planted with a handful of my own compost is booming away!  Yah for compost!

The stuff growing from seed is taking a bit to get going but I have a few healthy looking pea plants, a few lettuces are starting to look more established and I have some small seedlings up that I think are the purple/red cabbages I put in.

It's Raining, It's Pouring...

Okay, I shouldn't really call my husband an old man. Just because he's losing hair AND has aches and pains from time to time does NOT make him old. Right?

I can't remember the last time I saw rain like this. It just keeps raining and raining and raining. Like real, WET, raindrops.

The garden's getting a nice soaking.

The rainwater tanks will be filling.

Hopefully the dams are starting to get some water run into them.

And any day now I'll lose my husband to his second love - the tractor.

BUT........

There's "money in mud" or so my farmer husband likes to say.

So who am I to complain?

Would I do that????
