Herb Garden

Image via WikipediaIf you read my Blogworld blog, you'll be aware that in August I'm participating in what is known as the 30 Day Challenge. It's a course aimed at beginner internet marketers. The idea is that you follow the steps laid out and see if you can make your first $1 online.

It seems that the best way to make money online is to target google traffic. These are people who are looking for something. I have to admit that I like this idea a whole lot better than I like the idea of trying to sell something to my friends (ie my regular blog readers).

What does all this have to do with my Gardening Blog? Well, the topic I have chosen to focus on is "Herb Garden". So even though you guys aren't my "target" audience, I thought some of you might be interested in checking it out.

It looks like a blog and works like a blog but in the "true" sense of what a blog is (like an online journal) it isn't really a blog. Not in my mind anyway. Instead, it will be a collection of articles (mostly researched and some from my own experiences) all pertaining to growing your own herbs.

It's something I would like to do more of (herb growing) which is why I looked into that as a "niche" idea.

Anyway, feel free to pop over and say hello if you're interested in herb gardening (or if you're just curious). :-)

Garlic Chives Dilemma

Image by jacki-dee via FlickrI have discovered a certain dilemma when harvesting my garlic chives.

They look VERY similar to the weeds growing around them!!! :-o

Yes, I know. I need to weed more often.

Actually, I haven't had trouble with weeds in the garden bed until now.

It's all no-dig compost.

But they have arrived with avengence.

And I am pulling them each day.

But they did get a little ahead of me and I can't tell if it's the garlic chives spreading or weeds.

How funny would it be to flavour our food with finely chopped weeds???? ROFLOL.

I'll have to be VERY careful about my weeding I think.

And do a "sniff test" before adding greenery to the soup!!!! :-o
